Mrs. Aurell has had an ongoing interest and involvement in education and historic preservation. She served as Florida’s representative (Vice Regent) to Historic Mt. Vernon for 16 years and is currently a member emeritus. She is presently Chairman of the Leon County Public Library Advisory Board, a board member of Holy Comforter School, a member of the Great Floridian Nominating Committee and a representative to the Grove Advisory Commission. She served on the Florida Governors Mansion Commission for Governors Graham and Bush.
Mrs. Aurell has been a member of the Collins Institute since its inception, and has been a member of the Collins Center for Public Policy for 17 years.
She is a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Tallahassee, where she has served as a member of the Vestry and is a current Delegate to the Diocesan Convention.
She is married to attorney John Aurell and they reside in Tallahassee. They have one daughter and three grandchildren.
